Back to School, Back to Health

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost back to school time! This year marks a big milestone for our family as Avery begins kindergarten at Blankner. As you look over the “extensive” school supply checklist, consider how your children will be carrying all of the supplies and books.

Backpack safety is more important than ever. We regularly talk to schools to give the best recommendations to keep our kids healthy and strong.

Here are a few tips to consider:

1. Use both shoulder straps and a waist belt when available.

2. Pack the heaviest book toward the spine.

3. Get a second copy of heavier text books to keep at home to eliminate having to carry them back and forth.

4. Use a roller back-pack if allowed.

We are happy to support our local schools and continue to look forward to serving you and your families.

Have a happy and healthy school year.
