Best Father’s Day Gift: Health
Men’s Health
It’s that time of year again – we break out the barbeques, we giftwrap ties and golf clubs, and we celebrate our fathers and our father figures. As a father of two little ones, one of the best things I can do for my family is to be proactive about my health. Here are my guidelines for staying healthy:
Check your cholesterol every five years, more frequently if you have a family history of high cholesterol.
Control your blood pressure and cholesterol, if they’re high.
If you smoke, please stop.
Increase your physical activity level to 30 minutes per day, most days of the week.
Eat more fruits and vegetables and less saturated or trans- fats. Limit your refined sugar intake.
Get regular chiropractic adjustments.
Maintaining your health is a wonderful way to show the people around you how much you care about them. To all of the fathers and father figures out there, have a happy and healthy Father’s Day!
Yours in good health,
Dr. Robert Koch
